Siesta Key
The Beach Siesta Key is
located on an eight mile long barrier island just South of Sarasota on
the Gulf Coast. We are best known for our beach and it's powdery
white sands. In fact, Dr. Stephen Leatherman, better known as Dr. Beach, rated Siesta Key #2 in "America's Best Beaches
2009", and again this year for 2010.

Shopping and Dining Siesta Key has two shopping and dining districts. One is known as Siesta Key
Village, where you will find an eclectic mix of boutiques, beach shops,
salons, restaurants, sidewalk cafes, a grocery store, hardware store, drug store, post
office, and night life fun. Be sure to stop in at Big Olaf's for a
dip of incredible home-made ice cream!
The other shopping area is
North of the Stickney Point bridge and is known as
Crescent Beach shops. Here you will find boutiques, gift shops,
restaurants, night clubs, a grocery store, drug store, post office, and
a boat rental/bait and tackle shop.
Things To Do If you like to spend time outdoors in the
Florida sunshine there are many things to do, including beach walks,
biking, boating, fishing, parasailing, jet skiing, golf and tennis.
